I am an early-career researcher at COMOC, Ghent University. My research is focused on developing porous materials (e.g., MOF, COF, CTF, Porous Polymers, etc.) with tunable redox properties for heterogeneous photo & electrocatalysis to directly functionalize/make molecules that are otherwise difficult to do, viz., non-activated organic molecules and gases (e.g., CO2). My research has two-fold directions: (i) developing novel photo and electrocatalytic protocols for value-added organic synthesis, and (ii) parallelly understanding the fundamentals of charge transport and dynamics in porous materials to tune their augmented catalytic use. To date, I have supervised 14 researchers (9 PhD, 2 MSc, 3 BSc), authored 20+ manuscripts, peer-reviewed 30+ scientific articles, collaborated with internationally recognized scholars, and been recognized with 7 career awards attracting 250k€ research funding.
