I am a Senior Scientist at the Advanced Materials Characterisation and Investigation unit of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Belgium, working on developmental research and innovating in the area of particle and powder technology.
Prior to J&J, I was a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Ghent University, where I worked on porous materials (e.g., MOF, COF) as heterogeneous photo & electrocatalysis for decarbonisation and advanced energy applications, commonly known as Power-to-X.
My research has two-fold directions: (i) developing novel Power-to-X protocols using Porous Material catalysts for greater innovation and commercialisation prospects, and (ii) simultaneously understanding the fundamentals of charge and mass transfer and dynamics in porous materials to tune their augmented catalytic use.
To date, I have supervised 16 researchers (10 PhD, 3 MSc, 3 BSc), authored 30+ manuscripts, peer-reviewed 40+ scientific articles, collaborated with internationally recognised scholars, and been recognised with 7 career awards attracting 250k€ research funding.
